More than just Sunday school!

Faith Formation is more than just Sunday school for our youngest members! It is helping our parishioners to see their Catholic faith as a way of life and their relationship with God as an everlasting bond. We invite all to take part in Faith Formation activities including classes and gatherings on Sundays or through the week, worship at Mass, celebration of Sacraments, service activities, and community celebrations. When we come together and encounter others, we encounter Christ. In experiencing how Christ works through others, we can see more clearly how Christ may be working in our own lives. Please consider becoming more involved in a new activity! God always has his hand outstretched to you with an invitation to a deeper relationship.

For children in grades K through 8, our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) classes are offered every Sunday from 8:45-9:45 am, between the two morning Masses, beginning on Catechetical Sunday in September through the end of April.

For our youngest members, we offer Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 10 am Sunday Mass for children age 3 through first grade.

First Reconciliation/First Communion preparation classes are for children in second grade, including those attending Catholic school, and are held at the same time as PREP classes.

Confirmation preparation classes are for students in ninth grade who have completed a religious education class during the eighth grade. Classes are held once a month and begin with students attending the 10 am Sunday Mass as a group and continuing with class until noon.

The OCIA is a discernment and preparation process for adults who wish to be baptized, become a Catholic, or to complete one’s Catholic initiation. Beginning in September, you’ll gather in a small group setting to learn more about the Catholic faith. Weekly sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare you to celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation at Easter.

In addition to Sunday morning classes, middle school students are invited to attend Edge Nights on Fridays from 7-9 pm. Edge is a Catholic Middle School Ministry that offers food, fun, faith, and fellowship for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Faith Formation for Adults includes Scripture Study every other Tuesday at 9 am, Book Study Group for Adults on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, and a variety of video series by Word of Fire Catholic Ministries with Bishop Robert Barron, held several times throughout the year.
